Breitling
Since 1884, the name of Breitling stands for chronographs. A specialist in technical watches, the brand played a key role in the development of the wristworn chronograph - for which in particular it invented the two independent-pushpiece control system. Thanks to its broad range of "instruments for professionals", Breitling has actively contributed to the boom in sports, sciecne and industry - in short, to all the main fields of an era of speed and records that no longer counts in days, hours, minutes but in seconds and fractions of a second. In 1999, its concern for percision led it to have all its movements chronometer-certified - a first amoung the major watch brands. And in 2009, the launch of its own chronograph movement, a high-performance "motor" produced using unusual methods, set the crowning touch to this longstanding quest for innovation, excellence and independence.
